Take Me Out To a Big Blue Day !

The K-3 students celebrated a "Big Out of the Blue Day" by having a major league baseball player visit our school. Brian Daubach, of the Winning 2004 World Series Team, the Boston Red Sox, read to children and fielded questions about being a professional baseball player. He wore his bling so the kids could see a World Series ring in person. They may never have an opportunity like this again. Autographed pictures were handed out and four lucky students received autographed baseballs. Brian also read the book The Fenway Park from A to Z. We ate hot dogs and chips for lunch and had Cracker Jacks for snack. Students were heard to say, "This was the best Out of the Blue Day ever." How will we ever top this day? The kids worked very hard to earn this reward and deserved a great time.
