Ocean Links

Shedd Aquarium: This aquarium is located in Chicago, IL.  It has a fantastic aquarium exhibit displaying freshwater fish from the Midwest, Asia, and North America.  The Oceanarium has Pacific Coastal Dolphins, Beluga Whales, Sea Otters, Harbor Seals, a Coral Reef display, and Penguins.  Currently a special exhibit called "Seahorse Symphony" is on display.  Coming in June 2000, a massive display in the Aquarium dedicated to the 4 seasons of the Amazon will open.  Well worth a visit to Chicago to visit!

Ocean AdVENTure: With this virtual dive, you will visit the hydrothermal vents in the depths of the ocean and see some of the interesting creatures that live there.

Sea World: I visited Sea World in Orlando several years ago.  There are some great exhibits there.  If you want to study marine mammals, you are better off visiting an Aquarium.

Marine Mammals: Links to information on dolphins, sea otters, whales, seals, and other marine animals.

Ocean Planet Smithsonian: Educational materials, teaching units, and ideas from the Smithsonian Museum.
